Bored of Your Mundane Depravity

Best For:

Free thinkers, creatives, open-minded individuals, advocates, talkers, and those who think outside of the box.

What bores you?

I am bored…

That is a dangerous word in a healthcare environment, the kind of word that makes coworkers cringe because when things are ‘slow,’ it feels like asking for the next catastrophe.”

I am not bored with safe silence. Nor does stillness drive me to the brink of finding a shrink. I adore a quiet afternoon with nothing but a notebook, nature, and my own beating heart.

What bores me more is emptiness dressed up as conversation. The noise a sound pretending to be substance creates, echoes down the surrounding halls.

When systems pretend to be a solution yet every lane leads to more dead ends… You will learn that lies are nothing more than chaos on which we feed. The bread and circus of our era.

Boredom, for me, is not the absence of stimulation. It is the presence of repetition without growth.

Small Talk That Goes Nowhere

The conversations that exist purely out of politeness. The “how are you’s” that you wish to not reply to. The “we’ll catch up soon’s” that make you not want to pick up. The exchange that circles the drain because of convenience. Though these boredom fueled conversations never risks testing your depth.

Static interaction serves as a mirror for a society that prioritizes convenience over the depth of human connection.

Connection requires intention, so if you are speaking to me, it better matter. Let it move with you somewhere new, static thinking isn’t bringing any change.

Closed Minds and Inflated Egos

So overly bored with the people who refuse to think outside the box. They are stage five clingers to one narrative. Delusional in thinking their own life story is the only one in existence to deserve the ink.

Here is a clue, no one’s personal story stands alone. There is not a solo experience in existence that outranks a collective human archive. The moment an individual believes it to be true that their ranking is above others, they become entirely too small. Shrinking to meet their arrogance is not elevation. It is insecurity as a pay-per-view.

Wealth Without Depth

Money does not impress me anymore. It comes along with many things but none are included more than shame.

I myself know many people who are rich in experience, community, or creativity. Some who barely scrape by financially. I have met people drowning in wealth who have never truly lived a moment of their life.

I am bored with the idea that capital is the pinnacle of human achievement. If money is the only language you speak, the conversation is already too shallow for me.

Redundancy and the Status Quo

Repetition without reflection is exhausting.

I am bored with the endless loop of advocating for equal rights, without change. As if full grown adults cannot unpack the concept that every human being deserves dignity. Race, sexual orientation, gender identity, biological sex, disability status, immigrant status, financial status, mental illness, and many other things make you no different from anyone else. I want you to know none of these strip someone of their humanity. If you think they do that says more about you.

Why is this still a debate? Why is basic empathy controversial?

I am bored with having to explain that criticizing one political figure does not equal endorsing another. Disliking Donald Trump does not mean supporting Joe Biden. Critiquing a democrat does not translate into loyalty to republicans. Binary thinking is lazy.

The two party system is treated like sacred architecture. Though if you ask me it is simply two wings that belong to the same bird. You know different feathers, same flight path. That’s why if a republican is elected legislature moves more right and if a democrat is elected nothing moves at all.

Manufactured Outrage and Missing Sources

We all know fear sells. Misinformation spreads faster than truth even if one provides a source.

People stating claims without a drop of evidence. If you are going to argue, bring the fucking receipts. If you want to entice fear, at least have the integrity to cite your source.

We live in an era where information is abundant. There is no excuse for intellectual laziness.

The Blame Game

I am bored with corporations shifting responsibility onto everyday people. You tell normal people that our two or so flights a year are destroying the planet. Though, turning a blind eye while private jets cross continents for convenience.

When figures like Taylor Swift make headlines for excessive private jet flights that would take under an hour in a car, it exposes a deeper hypocrisy. The burden is consistently placed on the individual while systemic overconsumption remains protected.

Going green can help. Accountability must scale with power if you wish to be viewed seriously.

Violence, War, and the Capital Machine

Wars framed as necessity while resources and power quietly shape the narrative are becoming increasingly boring to me. Watching institutions enforce policies that harm vulnerable communities, is boring me. I am not even surprised when they call it order, anymore.

Pretending we are not living inside a system that prioritizes profit over people, has always been boring to me. We all know capitalism, left unchecked, will not and cannot correct itself. It multiplies. It concentrates. It repeats. Each cycle tightens the grip it has on you, me, and everybody.

Mundane Obedience

What bores me more than all else is falling in to toe the fucking line. Accepting harm as normal. Treating injustice as background noise. All of this is getting old as hell to me.

The most dangerous boredom of all is Mundane compliance. Your refusal to dare to even try to care, I have found myself bored as hell with.

The illusion of stability maintained by repetitive grinding is the primary barrier to addressing systemic catastrophe.

I am bored of just continuing to go to work. Even the drive to and home have no excitement to offer me. The endless chores, at work and home do not bring any thrill. The grind that keeps the lights on while the world outside it is cracking at its seams.

I am bored with pretending history is not repeating at an increasingly worse scale in front of us. The headlines blur into background noise and we are gently trained to swallow catastrophe with each bite of food we take. Acting like everything is fine, or sustainable, as if we are not being desensitized on purpose is the most boring on my list. I am especially bored with driving myself half mad trying to package disgusting truths in a way that keeps everyone comfortable, digestible, and unchanged. While they can scroll on and feel like nothing new is happening at all.

Seeking Outside the Box People & Conversations

I seek conversations providing complexity, debate, or growth.

Stagnation disguised as stability is boring. I wonder. Where are the life experiences, lessons, or growth?

Painting a patriarchal influenced hierarchy as merit.

Your fear dressed up in patriotism.

Red. White. And Bruise. The ones left on the immigrants doing odd jobs in U.S. cities & the migrants seeking refuge in our streets from authoritarian governments.

You market division as destiny, churning unheard of profits.

So, boredom, for me at least, is watching the same broken record spin.

Delusions allowing me to pretend it is new.

After watching it again & again.

Am I surprised? No, I always knew it would end like this.
