A: I practice an eclectic form of witchcraft. It draws from various traditions. The focus is on practical, accessible magic. I use common ingredients and straightforward techniques. I identify most closely with paganism.

A: No. All spells here are designed for accessibility with common household items.
No rare herbs or expensive tools required… just your intention and energy.

A: I believe in personal agency and creating your own justice when required.
🧹Please ask me or a trusted Practitioner before deciding to use baneful magic to make a well-informed decision.
You never want to curse or hex someone without good reason.

🧹The concept of the Threefold Law (also referred to as: the Law of Three & the Wiccan Rede) is a relatively modern addition to spiritual practice.

🧹It first appeared in a 1949 novel by Gerald Gardner, “High Magic’s Aid,” and was later refined in the early 1950’s.

🧹Contrary to popular misconceptions on origins, it was NOT established during the formative years of modern Wicca.

🧹Historically, the law served a dual purpose:

🧹The “Law of Karmic Return” some Wiccans use the term Karma interchangeably within the law of three due to the somewhat similar underlying principle of cause and effect. 🧹Though, it’s not accurate to equate the Rule of Three directly with the complex system of the Eastern philosophical concept of karma.

🧹The Threefold Law– provided a simple moral framework for practitioners to push for acceptance from the people in purist popular modern religious beliefs.

🧹Public Safety: During a time when witchcraft was still viewed with suspicion and fear by the Satanic Panic being pushed by Christian-based belief systems, the _{Law of Three} was emphasized.
🧹Used to prove that practitioners were peaceful and harmless. By publicly committing to the idea that any harm would ^{return to the sender threefold,} the community sought to fit in and avoid the persecution or judgment of Abrahamic religious institutions.

🧹While it remains a core belief for a good bit of Wicca-based belief systems, others view it as a safeguard from the Satanic Panic rather than a universal spiritual absolute, especially after considering its modern roots.

🧹The Ritual Room- Poeaxtry & the Prism reject any attempt to imply otherwise as well as attempts to sway practitioners into following a “law” without providing the information surrounding it with accuracy.

🧹Poeaxtry does not subscribe to mid-century PR moves designed to make our power more palatable to the very people persecuting us.

🧹While those holding more modern Wicca belief systems may choose to follow this rule, as they are allowed to. We recognize it for what it is: a specific religious choice, not a universal reality.

🧹Here, justice is earned, not waited for. Those following the law of three without pushing it onto others are, by all means, still welcomed here.
