  • Lemonade: Bittersweet Survival in a Sugared World🍋

Lemonade: Bittersweet Survival in a Sugared World🍋

An Original Poem by: Axton N.O. Mitchell

    I’m learning to make lemonade
    where my lemons are.
If that is all life is going to hand to me.

I will make something from all the
lessons I learned and continue too.
No longer allowing myself to continue
    brooding over what should have,
    could have,
    would have been.

No matter what life throws my direction
I can only elevate above the shit.
I will continue to be the man I was raised
    to transition to.

    Forever serving you my
    lemonade in different flavors of
    emotions painting a mural of
    my life in different fonts.

    Hopefully,
those who resonate won’t be so
alone after they read m vulnerability,
every page I print covered in it.

  • I Am Always Bad. A Poem on Self and Internal Storms.

I Am Always Bad. A Poem on Self and Internal Storms.

Original Poetry by: Axton N.O. Mitchell

    “I Am Always Bad”

I left pieces of me in places I’ll never be.
    Places I’ll Never see.
Places I can never return to
    because of me.

I left my ruins there and now I wouldn’t dare
    show my face,
for fear of what they’d do to me.
Now that they have seen the real me.

I bring about sheer misery, raining down
on the town encompassing everyone but me.
Flooding the streets and soaking your sheets.

Like a perpetual umbrella hanging over my head,

protecting me from all the things I am constantly
    heaping onto all of you.

The sun’s rays blessed my skin and kissed my face.
While you hide inside from thunderstorms and tornadoes
sent by none other than me, just to screw with you as I see fit.

When I am around rain clouds drown you out.
The sound of a thunderous booms deafening all your shouts.

  • Hazel Eyes; A Home for Us Both

Hazel Eyes; A Home for Us Both

Original poem by: Axton N.O. Mitchell

    He has hazel eyes
that are the only part of him to
    fail at masking
    any emotions he is feeling.
    Could set the room ablaze
    with just his gaze.

    He has hazel eyes
    that are full of
all the Poetry he has written.
    Emotions heavy in every
    stare.

    He has hazel eyes
    that shine bright enough
to show; he’s full of light
in all the darkness… he’s been
    shown.

    He has hazel eyes
    that he hopes
feel like his partner’s home. |
    Every time they feel
    lost or confused
    all they need to do
    is look into his eyes
    and see he’s their home.

  • Writing During an Episode of BPD. A Raw Poem on Mental Illness, Grief & Isolation🚨

Writing During an Episode of BPD. A Raw Poem on Mental Illness, Grief & Isolation🚨

    A poem by: Axton N. O. Mitchell

What can I do to get out of this
    nightmare called life?
I don’t want to be here.
    I am not having fun.
I am just so fucking done.
I’m as close to the edge as I have ever been.

    I’m so fucking lonely
    I have no one
I can even trust to say anything to but
I always knew I’d be alone
    And

    I’m sick of being treated
    Like I’m not wanted everywhere
I go along because so is life
    then

    Get questioned about
why I’m trying to sneak and
    take my leave.
Don’t worry I hate me I get it.
We agree there it would just be
real nice to have a few more people who support people like me.

I wish my mother was still alive.
    She never made me feel
    unwelcomed
    unaccepted
    or unloved.

I’m clearly too much for all of you
    but
my mom was always too much
    for all of you, too.

  • “My BPD” A Poem About Living on the Edge with Borderline Personality Disorder 🚨

“My BPD” A Poem About Living on the Edge with Borderline Personality Disorder 🚨

An Original Poem by: Axton N. O. Mitchell

    Oh my borderline .

Somewhere on the edges of alive and dead
barely breathing though I am screaming

BPD just leave me, just be gone.
I hate being alone this is
    well known.

    However, I’d rather spend the
rest of my days without this
    seed inside of me.
It’s grown and it’s grown until
I can no longer control it.

    Separate me from BPD,
not who I aim to be,
    having no control over me.

Look at me, I’m a god.
    Bow before me and weep.
Kiss my toes while I sit in this throne.

Oh. fuck I’m unwell, this is hell.
    I hate my life.
    I hate my face.

    Please help me escape this….
    Place

I need you to see the
    difference between me and
    My BPD.

Where does the current in this piece carry you?

Through Dew and Texture – A Sensory Exploration of Nature Using Only Touch💐

A hush of cool air embraces my skin, carrying the faintest whisper of gritty soil. Each caress of wet soft fiber unveils a world veiled in liquid light. My fingers glide over surfaces slick and yielding, a cold, smooth resistance that speaks of gathered nightly tears. Petals, some plush as velvet, others brittle thin like dried secrets, bow with the weight of a million tiny spheres. A brush against a cluster releases a sudden, icy shower onto my hand, a fleeting baptism.

Stems, sometimes stubbornly firm, sometimes with a surprising bend, offer a slick passage for my exploring touch. The intricate etchings of a leaf’s veins rise beneath my fingertips, cool and precise as a carved stone. There’s a profound stillness in this tactile landscape, a damp hush where each blade and bloom is weighted with quiet wonder. It’s a world just awakened, still draped in shimmering, cool secrets, each touch a quirky revelation of form and the lingering kiss of the dew.

What is the picture you see? If you get it right, I’ll let you know!

  • Color, Moon, and Magic: A Beginner’s Guide to Subtle Energies, Spell Ethics, and Craft Practices

Color, Moon, and Magic: A Beginner’s Guide to Subtle Energies, Spell Ethics, and Craft Practices

    Introductory to Witchcraft part 2

💎Disclaimer following in order may be beneficial at least for the first few, the choice is up to you.

Your guide to subtle yet powerful energies to enhance your craft and gain understanding of how each work. Explore the magical language of color. Resonate with the rhymes of the moon. Examine the influence each day has. Understand love spells ethics. Meditation is the silent power. Learn about the rule of 3 and how it differentiates Wiccans and Pagans…and other pagans.

🌈 The Vibrant Language of Color in Magic

Color is more than just a visual attribute. It carries distinct energetic vibrations. You can harness these vibrations in your magical workings. By understanding these correspondences, you can add another layer of intention and power to your spells and rituals.

    * **White:** Purity, truth, new beginnings, cleansing, spirituality, peace, all-purpose. Use for purification rituals, seeking truth, when another color isn’t specified, or also in place of any color.

    * **Black:** Protection, banishing, binding negative energies, breaking hexes, absorbing negativity. Ideal for shielding yourself or your space from unwanted influences.

    * **Red:** Passion, love, energy, courage, strength, vitality, lust, action. Invoke for spells requiring a boost of energy, courage, or to ignite passion.

    * **Pink:** Love (gentle, romantic, self-love), compassion, harmony, friendship, emotional healing. Use for spells focused on attracting gentle love, fostering self-acceptance, or healing emotional wounds.

    * **Green:** Abundance, prosperity, growth, healing, nature, fertility, luck. A powerful color for attracting wealth, promoting healing, and connecting with the natural world.

    * **Yellow:** Intellect, communication, creativity, joy, learning, mental clarity. Use when seeking knowledge, improving communication, or sparking creativity.

    * **Blue:** Peace, tranquility, healing, communication (spiritual), truth, wisdom. Invoke for spells aimed at bringing peace, facilitating spiritual communication, or seeking truth.

    * **Purple:** Psychic ability, intuition, spiritual power, wisdom, ambition, breaking bad habits. A potent color for enhancing psychic abilities and connecting with higher spiritual realms.

    * **Orange:** Creativity, joy, enthusiasm, success, attraction, energy. Use to boost creativity, attract positive outcomes, and infuse your work with joy.

    * **Brown:** Grounding, stability, earth magic, finding lost items, animal magic. Connect with the earth’s energy and seek stability or help with earthly matters.

    * **Silver:** Intuition, psychic abilities, dreams, lunar energy, feminine power. Connect with lunar energies and enhance intuitive abilities.

    * **Gold:** Prosperity, success, solar energy, masculine power, abundance, confidence. Invoke the power of the sun for success, abundance, and personal power.

Beyond candles, remember that incorporating objects of specific colors can further amplify the intended energies of your spells and rituals. Use crystals, fabrics, herbs, flowers, or ribbons for this purpose.

Get in tune with the Rhythms of the Moon 🌖

The moon’s journey through its phases exerts a powerful influence on the tides, nature, and our own energies. Witches have long recognized and worked in harmony with these lunar rhythms to enhance their magic.

    * **New Moon:** A time for new beginnings, setting intentions, planting seeds (both literal and metaphorical), and starting new projects. Spells focused on growth and attraction are often performed during this phase.

    * **Waxing Crescent Moon:** The energy is building. Good for spells focused on attraction, growth, and bringing things towards you. A time to nurture your initial intentions.

    * **First Quarter Moon:** A time for decision-making, overcoming obstacles, and taking action on your intentions. Provides a boost of energy and motivation to move forward.

    * **Waxing Gibbous Moon:** Refining intentions, making adjustments, and preparing for the full manifestation of your goals. A time for patience and perseverance as your desires ripen.

    * **Full Moon:** The peak of lunar energy. Powerful for all types of magic, especially manifestation, charging objects, and psychic work. Emotions can also be heightened during this time, so grounding is important.

    * **Waning Gibbous Moon:** Releasing what no longer serves you, banishing negativity, and breaking unwanted habits. A time for introspection and letting go of what hinders your progress.

    * **Last Quarter Moon:** A time for releasing, banishing, and clearing away obstacles before the new cycle begins. Good for ending negative situations and preparing for a fresh start.

    * **Dark Moon (Balsamic Moon):** A time for rest, introspection, and shadow work. Traditionally not a time for spell casting focused on new beginnings, but powerful for banishing and inner transformation.

Align your spell work with the corresponding lunar phase. This alignment helps you tap into the natural flow of energy. It increases the potency of your magic.

The Weekday’s Whisper: Influences on Your Magic 📅

Each day of the week is associated with a specific planetary ruler. This association imbues it with distinct energies. These energies can influence your magical workings.

    * **Sunday (☀️):** Associated with energy, vitality, success, leadership, healing, and personal power. Ideal for spells focused on these themes.

    * **Monday (🌕):** Associated with emotions, intuition, psychic abilities, dreams, home, and family. Best for spells related to these areas.

    * **Tuesday (mars):** Associated with courage, action, strength, passion, conflict, and protection. Use for spells requiring a boost of energy or assertive action.

    * **Wednesday (Mercury):** Associated with communication, intellect, learning, travel, and business. Good for spells involving these areas.

    * **Thursday (Jupiter):** Associated with abundance, prosperity, luck, expansion, generosity, and wisdom. Invoke for spells aimed at attracting good fortune and growth.

    * **Friday (Venus):** Associated with love, beauty, harmony, pleasure, relationships, and the arts. Perfect for love spells (used ethically!), attracting beauty, and fostering harmony.

    * **Saturday (Saturn):** Associated with banishing, binding, protection, discipline, structure, and overcoming obstacles. Good for spells requiring grounding and long-term results.

Considering the day of the week will add a subtle yet effective layer to your spell casting.

Navigating the Realm of Love Spells Ethically

Love spells are a common area of interest, but it’s crucial to approach them with the utmost ethical consideration.

    * **The Right Way:**

Ethical love spells aim to attract love in general. They enhance self-love and draw a compatible partner who is also seeking love. These spells respect free will and aim to create positive connections based on mutual attraction. Focusing on opening yourself to love and becoming the best version of yourself aligns with ethical practices.

    * **The Wrong Way:**

Spells intended to manipulate someone’s feelings are unethical. Forcing someone into a relationship against their will is also unethical. It is wrong to interfere with existing relationships. They can also have negative repercussions. Magic should never be used to control or harm another person. Respecting individual autonomy and the principle of free will is paramount in all magical practice.

    Always consider the potential consequences.

Ensure your intentions align with the highest good and do not infringe upon another’s free will.

The Inner Journey: Exploring Meditation in Witchcraft

Meditation is a powerful tool for witches. It offers a pathway to inner stillness and heightened intuition. It also provides a deeper connection to the spiritual realms. Incorporating regular meditation into your practice can significantly enhance your magical abilities and overall well-being.

    Focused Attention Meditation:**

This technique involves concentrating on a single point of focus. This could be your breath. It could also be a sound like a mantra or singing bowl. Another option is using a visual image like a candle flame. It helps to quiet the mind, develop concentration, and anchor you in the present moment.

    Mindfulness Meditation:

Mindfulness involves paying attention to the present moment without judgment. It means observing your thoughts, feelings, and sensations as they arise and pass. This practice cultivates awareness, acceptance, and a non-reactive stance towards your inner experience.

    Walking Meditation:

This brings mindful awareness to the physical sensation of walking. You can focus on the feeling of your feet on the ground. Pay attention to the movement of your body. Notice the rhythm of your steps. It’s a great way to integrate meditation into movement and connect with your physical body.

    Body Scan Meditation:

This technique involves systematically bringing your attention to different parts of your body, noticing any sensations without judgment. It promotes body awareness, relaxation, and can help release tension.

    Visualization Meditation:

This involves creating mental images to achieve a specific goal, such as relaxation, healing, or manifestation. By vividly imagining your desired outcome, you can focus your energy and intention.

    Transcendental Meditation (TM):

TM is a mantra-based technique that promotes deep relaxation and altered states of consciousness. It typically involves specific instruction and personalized mantras provided by a certified teacher.

Experiment with these different types of meditation to find what resonates best with you and supports your magical practice.

🧿 Tips to Cultivate a Consistent Meditation Practice

Integrating meditation into your routine doesn’t have to be daunting. Here are some helpful tips:

    Find a Quiet Space:
Choose a place where you can sit or lie down comfortably without being disturbed.

    Set a Regular Time:
Consistency is key. Even a few minutes of daily practice can yield significant benefits over time.

    Start Small:
Begin with shorter meditation sessions (e.g., 5-10 minutes) and gradually increase the duration as you become more comfortable.

    Be Patient:
It’s normal for your mind to wander. Gently redirect your attention back to your chosen focus without judgment or frustration.

    Experiment with Different Techniques:
Explore the various types of meditation to discover which ones you find most effective and enjoyable.

    * **Use Props:** Consider using cushions, blankets, or eye pillows to enhance your comfort and support your posture.

    Guided Meditations:
Use audio recordings led by experienced practitioners. This is helpful, especially when you’re starting out. You might also want guidance on a specific type of meditation.

    Don’t Strive for Perfection:
There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to meditate. Focus on the process of bringing awareness to the present moment.

    Be Kind to Yourself:
If you miss a day, don’t get discouraged. Simply resume your practice the next day. Consistency is more important than perfection.

    The Rule of Three:

    What it is:

A tenet in Wicca explains that any energy a person sends out into the world will be returned to them. It will come back threefold. This applies to both positive and negative energy.

    Pagan Perspectives:

While many Pagans respect the idea of energetic consequences, the Rule of Three is not universally accepted. Some traditions may have similar concepts of reciprocity but not necessarily a strict threefold return.

    Wiccan Perspectives:

For many Wiccans, the Rule of Three is a guiding ethical principle. It influences how they practice magic. It also affects how they interact with the world. It encourages mindful action and discourages harmful magic.

The Wiccan Rede (“An it harm none, do what ye will”) strongly influences this. Many Wiccans interpret this to mean that magic should never be used to harm or control another person. Seeking personal justice through magic often violates this core principle. It is also potentially subject to the Rule of Three’s threefold return.

Some Types of pagan practices that may allow baneful practices,or seeking justice:

    Eclectic Witches

    Eclectic Pagans

    Traditional Witches

    Folk Magic Practitioners

    Left-Hand Path Practitioners

Reconstructionist Pagans (depending on the tradition)

When Anxiety Attacks: A Poem on Panic, Silence, and the Heart’s Collapse🥊

An original poem by: Axton N. O. Mitchell

    Writing poetry isn’t nearly enough.
I need you to feel the way my heart
    beats
    when I hear the syllables
    come out your mouth.

And it feels like you’re leaving me
    all alone,
    again.

    The erratic pattern is
    cause for immediate concern,
the reply trapped in my throat
    causing me to
    choke.

    The anxiety I feel cannot
    be controlled or expressed
    by anything other than
    the implosion of the most
    vital organ in my body.

My heart was led by my head

  • What Gives Me Direction in Life: A Trans Man’s Path Beyond Doctrine

What Gives Me Direction in Life: A Trans Man’s Path Beyond Doctrine

What gives you direction in life?

I am a man who has journeyed beyond the landscapes of Christian doctrine. I have discarded the notion of a celestial shepherd. Direction in my life stems not from divine decree. It comes from the rich soil of deep-seated values and the vibrant tapestry of earthly connections. My guiding stars are not fixed in a heavenly firmament. They blaze within my own heart: a fierce, unwavering belief in the inherent equality of all beings. It is a conviction that paints minorities as vital threads in the grand human weave. They are deserving of every right and dignity. Holding tightly to the belief that all living things are deserving of life, yes the bugs you smoosh too. A principle acting as a trail guide, directing my steps through the complexities of the world.

I have a deep wellspring of affection for my mother. The gentle kinship I share with animals further illuminates my path. These bonds are not mere attachments. They are vital roots anchoring me to the tangible beauty and vulnerability of existence. They nurture a profound sense of responsibility that blossoms into broader empathy. My poetic voice is a conduit for inner landscapes. It serves as a personal oracle. Each verse is a brushstroke painting the contours of evolving beliefs. These beliefs solidify the tenets of my moral universe.

There is the unyielding fire within me. It creates a passionate refusal to stand idly by when unkindness casts its shadow. This is particularly true when fueled by prejudice against that which cannot be altered. It includes beings that can’t defend themselves or the sacred choices of belief. This fierce compassion acts as a moral gale. It propels me to stand as a pillar against intolerance. I must also be a voice for understanding in a world too often fractured by needless division. My direction is not a singular road map etched by a higher power. Instead, it is a constellation of deeply felt principles. These principles are illuminated by love. They are articulated through a spirit that fights for justice. This spirit cherishes the interconnectedness of all living things.

We can all coexist differently. This happens as soon as we all let each other be. It is important that no one is causing undo harm. Some people just call me woke, like I should be ashamed of my empathy and bleeding heart.

Thank you for reading my prompt response for the day, I appreciate that. Do you believe good people need a Deity or God to show them right from wrong? 💎
