This Privacy Policy explains how Poeaxtry_ collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information. It applies across its websites, shop platforms, and submission portals (social media and messaging). This applies to all visitors, readers, and contributors engaging with any Poeaxtry_ project, including:

Poeaxtry’s Poetry Prism (publishing, hub, and community) Poeaxtry’s People. Protecting. Protesting. Persisting. (collective outcry & artistic protest new model) Digital shop platforms (Etsy, Gum road, Pay hip & more) Email sign-ups, comment sections, and submission calls hosted on WordPress, Substack, or third-party forms

1. What We Collect

Poeaxtry_ only collects the least information needed to finish services, credit creators, or communicate with readers. This can include:

Name or alias Email (for newsletter sign-ups, submissions, or purchases) Public social links (if included in contributor bios) IP addresses (collected passively by Substack, WordPress, or Gumroad analytics tools) Optional submission information (writing samples, bios, opt-in statements)

2. How Information Is Used

Your information can be used to:

Credit your work in digital or print publications (if selected) Send email updates about zines, blog posts, calls for submissions, or releases Fulfill purchases or download links on Gumroad, Pay hip, or Etsy Moderate comment sections or contributor forums (if applicable) Grant access to contributor-only materials, if opted to be anonymous statements etc

3. Contributor Privacy (Special Clause)

If you send to a Poeaxtry_ project:

Your submission is stored only for publication review. If accepted, it is used for distribution as part of a final zine or collaborative release. You can ask to use an alias, be labeled “Author Anonymous,” or have your bio withheld from public-facing documents. Or even use a pen name. If you transition and change your name please do let me know so we can update! Poeaxtry_ will never sell or share your private information, including submission details or email addresses.

We do not trash published works upon demand. We will accommodate crediting changes when possible in new editions or digital reissues.

4. Cookies & Analytics

Poeaxtry_ uses third-party services (like Substack, WordPress, and Gumroad) that can track usage through cookies or basic analytics (e.g. number of views, top posts, referral traffic). Poeaxtry_ itself does not personally track or sell user data.

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

5. Data Control & Removal

You can ask for removal of your personal data (email, bio, alias, etc.) from newsletter lists or submission files. To do so:

Note: Earlier published content will not be retroactively deleted. But, private submission materials, email records, and bios will be cleared upon verified inquiry.

6. Platform Disclosure

Poeaxtry_ runs on third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

WordPress (https://poeaxtryspoetryprism.blog/) Substack (poeaxtry.substack.com) Payhip, Gumroad, and Etsy, Discord, and embedded submission forms

Each of these platforms can collect limited data under their own terms of service. This Privacy Policy is specific to Poeaxtry_’s use and does not override third-party privacy agreements.

This Terms of Service agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of all creative works, digital services, websites, social channels, and publications affiliated with Poeaxtry_, including but not limited to:

Poeaxtry’s Prism (the publishing and creative platform) Any related zines, blogs, or email lists. You can also include content archives. Consider hosted submissions on platforms like WordPress, Substack, Gumroad, Pay hip, Etsy, and more.

1. Creative Ownership & Content Use

All original work posted or distributed by Poeaxtry_ is protected under copyright. Unless otherwise credited:

Content is owned by Axton Mitchell (Poeaxtry_) and/or its respective contributors. You may not reuse, reproduce, remix, or repost this content without explicit permission. Sharing links is encouraged, but republishing without consent is not.

2. Contributor Rights & Boundaries

If you submit to any Poeaxtry_ project:

You can keep the copyright to your original work. By submitting, you grant Poeaxtry_ non-exclusive rights to publish and promote it (digitally or in print). Once your work is published in a zine, blog, or collaborative project, it will not be altered or removed. This protects the integrity of full community issues. You can ask to be credited under an alias or as “Author Anonymous.” If you choose not to include a bio or links, we will use a simple note. The note will read, “Bio withheld by ask.”

3. Acceptable Behavior & Community Standards

Poeaxtry_ upholds safe spaces, especially for marginalized creators. Harassment, hate speech, exploitation, or theft of work will result in removal from community spaces. Individuals responsible will also face blocked access to future opportunities.

You agree not to:

Sending in plagiarized or AI-generated . Exploit community platforms for hate speech, spam, or not-consensual content Harass contributors, readers, or platform moderators

4. Submissions & Project Guidelines

Poeaxtry_ runs zines, collective publications, and art-literature projects with clear submission rules.

Unless otherwise stated:

Submissions are free and open to global participants of legal age. Inclusion is guaranteed to any project unless stated otherwise. Only minorities on topic will have one or more posts guaranteed to be included. Ally submissions are welcomed in support, not in a way of silence.

By submitting, you agree to abide by the guidelines and timeline set for that specific call.

5. Disclaimers & Limitations

Poeaxtry_ does not guarantee outcomes from participation. All creative exposure is unpaid unless a paid edition is explicitly offered.

Any shop platforms (Etsy, Gumroad, Payhip) are handled through third-party services. Poeaxtry_ is not responsible for shipping delays, lost files, or financial platform policies.

We reserve the right to:

Refuse service or submissions Remove abusive users from online spaces Adjust timelines and terms with notice
