About the Poet:
Axton N. O. Mitchell is a thirty-four-year-old (November, 16th, 1991) transgender (AFAB, FTM, Trans-Masc) poet, advocate, and multifaceted creative person. Axton is currently based in Ohio. Through Poeaxtry’s Prism, he creates space for unapologetic truth, collective healing, and the people society purposely speaks over. His work blends grief, resistance, identity, and the wild wind across poetry, handmade items, services, and more always purposefully layered with intentions. Poeaxtry and the Prism also focus on community opportunities and projects. Axton has self-published multiple collections and been featured in magazines. He works to always center accessibility and authenticity in every creation.
