✨Centering Minority Art & Experience
My words thrive between worlds: the mystical and mundane, trauma and triumph, resistance and reward. Each poem is a stone tumbled smooth by experience yet still sharp enough to cut through the bureaucratic bullshit.
Step into Poeaxtry and the Prism. Here Axton N. O. Mitchell uses his poetry to break boundaries and form bonds. Come explore and discover poetry from every angle of Axton’s view. As always, Poeaxtry and the Prism showcase our solo poetry through literature, photography, lapidary art, and more. While we focus on providing spaces for marginalized creatives of every medium to share what create. Work here tends to punish peaceful pretenders, while refusing to look the other way.

We punch up at bigotry, crack its smug teeth. Then twist its confetti of lies and watch it stumble on its own arrogance.

Poeaxtry’s Poetry Prism’s Name Change & New Era. Expand to discover the reasoning behind the change to Poeaxtry and the Prism.
Poeaxtry by Axton
& the prism
Behind the Original Name and the Inevitable Change
Poeaxtry’s Poetry Prism began as a celebration of the layered nature of poetry in everything I create. Digital collections, physical pieces, or spiritual products all reflect depth and emotion, like a prism does light. Before I launched Poeaxtry by Axton, I knew community was the heart of it. With community came other creative mediums beyond poetry.
The new era, Poeaxtry and The Prism, embraces all forms of creativity. Poetry, prose, visual art, handmade craft, and more, while keeping poeaxtrypoetryprism for our website and emails. This honors what already works while opening the door to every medium. So every voice, every story, every vision remains centered.
